写真は今ARCH∧BES（アークビス）のピーコートのモチーフとなった1913年の米海軍ユニフォームレギュレーションの表紙です。

13スターの10ボタンピーコートが表紙ですが、それぞれ下士官とオフィサータイプが並んでいます。
この頃から基本的なスタイルは変わって無いのが凄いですね。
勿論この時代には接着芯はありませんので毛芯や衿に麻芯を使った完全にテーラーリング寄りの作りです。

そうすることによって表地と芯が馴染み着ても重さを感じさせず、肩〜衿の登りのラインが美しい形状を保てます。

用と美を兼ね備えているのですね。
